As the Founder of Dobrusin Financial, David Dobrusin is passionate about improving people’s lives and eliminating stress regarding their finances. As a Certified Financial Planner as well as a Certified Public Accountant, Dobrusin Financial combines both financial planning, investment management and tax preparation under one umbrella. Through many years of hard work and industry expertise, David strives to create efficiencies for his clients where they know multiple financial services are being delivered with the highest level of knowledge, fiduciary responsibility, and care.
Most people traditionally have a separate CPA and financial advisor, Dobrusin provides several disciplines within one company. “Having the ability to answer client’s investment questions and then also make them aware of the tax implications within the same meeting is what truly sets us apart,” he says. “There are very few CPA, CFP® professionals within Arizona or throughout the country. In turn, this takes the responsibility of coordinating multiple professionals off their shoulders” he says. With the new administration in place, there will be a lot of changes within both the tax code and how the stock markets will react to these changes. David and his team stay on top of these changes and strategically plan according to the everchanging environment so their clients will be well prepared for whatever lies ahead. “Understanding my client’s tax situation while also managing their investments is critical when making financial decisions.” David notes that the highlight of his career is the people he surrounds himself with. “Growing up in Scottsdale and opening my own practice here and being a part of this community has been truly incredible. Many of our clients have become close friends and anything I can do to help improve their lives gives me incredible joy,” he shares. Giving back to the community has always remained at the forefront of David’s life. He has been a Board Member of the Phoenix 20/30 club, Board member and Treasurer of the Children in Need Foundation, member of the Suns Charities 88, and is actively involved with EO Arizona (Entrepreneurs’ Organization).
Drawing inspiration from his family, David stays motivated by his father’s selfdiscipline and hard work ethic and his wife and children’s willingness to support his dreams. “My dedication to my wife Mara and our three boys, Benjamin (7), Matthew (5) and Zachary (3 months) is the reason I do what I do and why I work so hard,” David says. Outside of work you can find David traveling, attending live music, enjoying time with his family, or cheering on the Phoenix Suns.
