David J. Dobrusin, the founder of Dobrusin Financial, brings a unique approach to finance. As a Certified Financial Planner and a Certified Public Accountant, Dobrusin Financial combines financial planning, investment management, and tax preparation under one umbrella. “Early in my career, I realized how much overlap there was between financial planning and accounting and didn’t understand why the two services were always handled by separate firms,” says David. “That is why I decided to start a firm that provided both services enabling us to create maximum efficiencies for the clients we serve.”
Dobrusin Financial works hard to ensure their clients understand the complex nature of their finances and the tax implications that come with it. “Being able to simplify matters and explain things in a way that people can understand is what differentiates our firm,” says David. “I make a conscious effort to truly listen to our clients. Whenever I meet with someone new, I ask myself how I can add value to them, so they feel the time we spent together was beneficial.” In the community, David conducts free financial wellness seminars and webinars discussing various tax and financial strategies to help people avoid costly financial mistakes.
Outside of business, David is a true family man. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three sons. In the next year, Dobrusin Financial will be ramping up their media presence, by launching a YouTube channel. The content will be discussing tax and financial strategies that people can implement in their own lives. The firm’s ultimate goal is to become an online resource for all tax and financial questions.
